John Favreau’s interpretation of the Iron Avenger is a welcomed addition to the comic book movie genre.
Iron Man was action packed and provided enough humor to play down the intensity at the right moments. Downey’s portrayal of Tony Stark was dead on, he’s clearly the perfect choice to play the billionaire playboy.
His comedic timing and command of dialogue is why Downey is one the great actors of our generation.
The special effects and closing credits were some of the best i’ve seen in awhile, think Retro-Tron Steeze.
– 5stars (based on scale of 1 to 5 / 1=worst / 5=best)
• best casting i’ve seen in a long time in terms of comic-book-based movies
• great dialogue (hits all the marks — great balance of humor and seriousness)
• outstanding special fx
• not a big fan of the secret scene at the end of the credits but like it (Avenger Initiative)
