For some folks  it’s hit or miss when it comes to Tricky, for me he was one of the most prolific artists along with the Wild Bunch to come out of the UK in the late 80′s and I’m glad he’s back.

Reminder Massive Attack  will be part of the stellar line-up at this years moogfest in October and at the Beacon Theater with Thievery Corporation  in late October

    I was listening to KXP this am in the kitchen and they played Black Steele and I was in heaven. One of my alltime fav tracks by him. I like the original but it’s not as dark, of course.

    We have tix for the 22nd show at Beacon. Come with!

    Also, most memorable Tricky memory: (besides seeing him in dc at 9:30 Club) Julie had an old diesel Mercedes in college. My boyfriend at the time was a thug and had a hot stereo that he agreed to install in her car. He fucked up the wiring though and instead of it starting from the last place played, it started from the beginning. And Maxiquaye was one of our major jams back then. So, we heard the beginning of “Overcome” at least 2x a day. Sends me back to the innocence of dating a drug dealer Eminem look alike (Mr. Shady hadn’t even released his ep/mixtape yet) & drinking Franzia from my shoulder when it would start to go dry.
