First Big of Games 2010 Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2

Thursday, January 7th, 2010 ENTERTAINMENT, FASHION & LIFESTYLE, Technology

With the release of Modern Warfare and Left for Dead  2  in the latter portion of 2009, you’d think we’d be satisfied for a few months when it comes to sequels.

But there are  two of the most anticipated sequels of 2010 on deck , Mass Effect and Bio Shock 2.  After watching  the Dirty Dozen Teaser for Mass Effect 2, I’m ready for another go at Bioware’s  Space Epic.( They make the best trailers on a par with Square’s in my opinion)

After so many delays, Take 2’s Bio Shock has got me in a wait and see mode.   There may be two sleeper hits on the horizon with Bayonetta and Dark Void. Some are calling Bayonetta one the best 3rd person shooters ever.
Gratuitous sexual innuendo I’m sure helped that claim. for Bioshock 2 and Bayonetta Review (more…)

Vestax Spin DJ Controller

Monday, November 16th, 2009 FASHION & LIFESTYLE, MUSIC, Technology

It’s been a while since I’ve flexed on the 1&2’s, part of the reason is because of the complicated setup of  Traktor and Serato.
Don’t get me wrong, these programs are the industry standard and with good reason, but sometimes you just want to play music for your peeps and leave the rest to the professionals.

That said, I’m considering the Vestax Spin DJ Controller with DJay software ( supposedly it has seamless integration with  iTunes),however because  it’s an Apple exclusive I have reservations.

The controller in my opinion should have a wider release, but Apple relinquishing control of  product they’re connected to is not going to happen(The AT&T iPhone Fiasco). Hopefully I can get one off  Ebay and take Apple out of the Loop.-Blac Ren-

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 dropped yesterday.  I managed to get a few boards in, and I have to tell you  Infinity Ward’s repeat effort for the award winning franchise is well worth the wait.

So far its graphics and presentattion are the best this year.  The battle scenes are intense but I find myself squinting to find the enemy.   There wont be a final verdict until I finish it, I’m still on Gears of Wars 2 and Batman :-).

That said, for a  more robust review  I’ll leave that to you and the guys at IGN, your thoughts?  For IGN’s Video Review (more…)

EA Sports’ FIFA 10 Dominates the Virtual Pitch (X-Box 360)

EA Sports’ FIFA soccer franchise often polarizes members of the video gaming community - - gamers either love each year’s iteration or they reject it in favor of its competitor, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer. FIFA 10, this year’s football based foray, breaks away from this paradigm and delivers a realistic and highly entertaining soccer experience - - from the referee’s first whistle right down to the game-winning goal in stoppage time. EA Canada, the game’s developers, caters to gamers’ need for their FIFA fix right way - - the moment the FIFA 10 disc enters their X-Box 360 console, players are immediately transported onto their favorite club’s practice pitch. While there, they can perfect one on one striking skills against a goalkeeper, practice free kick set pieces (and for the first time in the series, create their own custom formations) or hold an inter-squad team scrimmage to test out their side’s starting 11.
