It’s been a while since I’ve flexed on the 1&2’s, part of the reason is because of the complicated setup of  Traktor and Serato.
Don’t get me wrong, these programs are the industry standard and with good reason, but sometimes you just want to play music for your peeps and leave the rest to the professionals.

That said, I’m considering the Vestax Spin DJ Controller with DJay software ( supposedly it has seamless integration with  iTunes),however because  it’s an Apple exclusive I have reservations.

The controller in my opinion should have a wider release, but Apple relinquishing control of  product they’re connected to is not going to happen(The AT&T iPhone Fiasco). Hopefully I can get one off  Ebay and take Apple out of the Loop.-Blac Ren-

Star Trek drops on the 17th. and I’m coping the 3 disc special edition for me and my Pops.

JandR has the best prices locally if you can’t wait on Amazon,  but It’s recession steeze for me so I’ll be waiting for it to be shipped.  For  you hardcore Trekkies, DJ prolific came across  the new book, Star Trek The Art Of The Film.

Art From The Heart” presents a unique opportunity to support a worthy cause, acquire a beautiful piece of art, and have fun doing it! All proceeds will go directly to support the Vanderbilt Republic Foundation’s inaugural project, “Masters”. This fall, the Foundation, in an unprecedented partnership with Arn Chorn-Pond and Cambodian Living Arts, will devote four weeks to rigorously documenting the lives of the Cambodian performing masters who narrowly survived the Khmer Rouge in a manner their stories deserve, and with an approach that honors and celebrates their significance in our world.

The two-day public preview will be September 8th and 9th during regular store hours, The opening (and party!) will take place on September 10th, from 7 to 10 p.m. for more info.

Off the heels of  Jay-Z’s  BET Awards performance on Sunday, I found a pending post that Big June drafted  a few weeks ago and  forgot to put it up.  The Footage is  little shaky,but keep watching. It captures the energy of the crowd and Jay-Z’s enthusiasm to be back on the scene. Good looking out June!
